Prince Fahd bin Abdullah bin Mohammed, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Civil Aviation Affairs who is also Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of both the Executive Committee and the Supervising Committee for King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA), disclosed here today that the new construction work at the airport would be completed in three years. In a press conference following the patronage of the Deputy Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz of the laying stone ceremony of KAIA and dedicating its logo and website, Prince Fahd bin Abdullah said that the establishment of the Saudi Civil Aviation Academy which was designed to provide the civil aviation sector with its human requirements including air control, communications, rescue, fire extinguishing and security augers well. The authority has also adopted domestic and foreign training courses for its personnel and trainees, he added. The press conference was attended by senior officials of civil aviation sector.
