Syrian player Abdul-Razak al-Hussein scored the 2 goals at 38 and 62 minutes of the match while Saudi player Taysser al-Jasem scored at the 60th minute of the match. Syria's team leaded group B with 3 points, after the draw between Jordan and Japan within the same group by 1-1. The Saudi team will meet its Jordanian counterpart next Thursday, while the Syrian team is due to play against Japan.
