Four people were killed and a number of others injured during the twenty-four hours in the renewed ethnic violence witnessed by the Pakistani city of Karachi for some time. The security sources said today that all the dead were militants, adding that security is beefed up in the tense areas of the city to reduce the spread of violence and targeted assassinations. On the other hand, Pakistani authorities lifted the level of security alert in the city of Lahore, following the assassination of Governor of Pakistan's Punjab Province, Salman Taseer on Tuesday.
