Naimi praised Prince Salman for his pioneering role in the preservation of the national heritage, noting that care should be given to the heritage which has become cultural, intellectual and scientific wealth. In another speech, Dr. Al-Sammari expressed his thanks to and appreciation of Prince Salman Ibn Abdulaziz, for supporting the Foundation so that it has become a pioneer in the service of the national history. Prince Salman, then, watched an introductory film on manuscripts and the Foundation's roles in their preservation. Afterwards, Prince Salman inaugurated the Exhibition which contains 100 rare manuscripts from more than 60 libraries. The ceremony was attended by a number of princes, ministers, senior scholars, historians and researchers.
