One policeman was killed and three injured when gunmen attacked a security checkpoint in Iraq on Sunday, police sources said. The attack took place in Falluja, the largest city in the western province of Anbar, as dpa reported. In the northern city of Mosul, security forces foiled an attempted attack targeting the head of city council. Security forces discovered and deactivated explosives planted near the home of Jaber Abdelrabbo, president of Mosul's city council.
