Icy rain has shut down Moscow's largest airport and left more than 30,000 people in the city's suburbs without electricity. The rain struck the city Saturday night. Roads were turned into icy paths and power lines were coated with ice, making them as brittle as glass. Moscow's major airport Domodedovo shut down Sunday morning after the power supply was cut off. No planes are allowed to land or take off. Russian news agencies quoted Moscow power official Vitaly Strugovets as saying power supply at Domodedovo will be restored by evening time.
