King Abdulaziz University will soon launch an Arabic language institute for people willing to learn the language, said Dr. Muhammad Sa'eed Al-Ghamdi, acting dean of the proposed institute and dean of the faculty of Arts and Humanities. In an interview with Al-Madina Arabic daily, Dr. Al-Ghamdi said the institute will specialize in teaching Arabic to students including those who are on scholarship within the Kingdom and abroad, university professors, members of the diplomatic corps and communities in the Kingdom. He pointed out that the institute, which will teach male and female students, will also provide direct qualifications for students to work as Arabic-language teachers in their respective countries. --MORE
