A Saudi student was awarded Masters degree in an English University for her thesis on using electronic fingerprint instead of users name and password in computer applications, it was reported here today. Sarah Al-Otaibi, said in her MA dissertation on Web Technology in Southampton University in the United Kingdom that computer users could use their electronic fingerprints in their numerous accounts, an innovation that would provide more security and easy access for computer users, particularly those who might happen to forget their passwords. Al-Otaibi's academic guide Dr. David Argyles at the Electronics and Computer College said traditional ways exercised by computer users could not provide the protection they need from computer pirates. However, the student's proposal would enable computer users to use all their accounts safely.
