At least two soldiers were killed after suspected gunmen attacked a checkpoint in the southern Yemeni province of Abyan on Friday, security forces said. According to dpa, the attackers opened fire at the checkpoint in Zenjibar, the provincial capital of Abyan, in an early morning attack. "Two soldiers died on spot and five were taken to hospital," a police source told the German Press Agency dpa. He said the assailants fled the scene and that a massive manhunt was underway.
