Dhabi, 09 Muharram, 1432/ 15 December 2010, SPA -- The 2nd Saudi-UAE Joint Customs Committee concluded here today, with the two GCC member countries agreeing to form a customs task team. Saleh bin Manee'a Al-Khilaiwe, Saudi Customs Department Head, led his country's delegation to the two-day meeting while the UAE delegation was chaired by Khaled Al-Bustani, Acting Director General of the Federal Customs Commission. The two sides agreed that the task team holds its meetings every three months in addition to two meetings at the level of customs chiefs of the two countries. They also agreed to exchange experience and briefings on each other's information and training. Al-Bustani said Saudi Arabia maintained its leadership as the UAE's top non-oil trade partner among the GCC member countries as well as the Arab countries in terms of non-oil trade value in August 2010 in the amount of UAE Dirham 1.8 billion, 20 % increase of the total non-oil trade with Arab countries.
