Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul-Gheit has welcomed the statement issued by the Ministerial Council of the European Union on the Middle East and the European balanced stance with regard to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict file. In a press statement today, Abul-Gheit said that the European position on this issue is very good in general, particularly when it comes to the illegality of Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Al-Quds. It is a solid and coherent European stance reflecting the international consensus on this important cause, the Egyptian minister added.
