The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center (SZGMC) has praised the statement of 31st GCC Summit, which was chaired by President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The statement pledged to promote the importance of an open dialogue between civilizations, religions and different cultures, according to a report of the UAE news agency "WAM" Dr Ali bin Tamim, Chairman of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center, said that the statement of the GCC leaders effectively drew a 'road map' of one of today's most important global issues. "The statement outlines our responsibility to find a methodology for dealing with this issue, especially in our religious, cultural and intellectual institutions. These institutions bear a great part of the responsibility for launching practical initiatives and implementing those policies", said bin Tamim. "The Center acts as a point of convergence for such a dialogue to take place. It represents an open cultural, religious and intellectual space, which can provide a suitable environment in which the world's most current issues and topics can be tackled", he noted.
