Hijjah 28, 1431, Dec 04, 2010, SPA -- The final mission of space shuttle Discovery has been delayed until February, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) officials said Friday. NASA made the latest delay because it needs more time to analyze cracks in the shuttle fuel tank. The damage occurred following a failed launch attempt in early November. Discovery remains on the launch pad, holding equipment for the International Space Station. Officials want to conduct a fuel test to better understand the problem. Officials said they will tentatively aim for a liftoff on February 3, which will result in a postponement for shuttle Endeavour that had been scheduled to launch at the end of February. NASA is retiring its shuttle fleet next year under the direction of the White House.
