Hijjah 16, 1431 / Nov. 22, 2010, SPA -- Six people were killed and one was injured Saturday after a crane crashed to the ground in Dandong City, northeast China's Liaoning Province, provincial authorities said Monday. Six workers were working on the more than 50 meters high crane tower when it toppled at 11:29 a.m. in a construction site in Zhenxing District. Four workers were killed instantly while the other two died in hospital, Xinhua quoted the province's Work Safety Inspection Bureau as saying in a statement. One man on the ground was hit by falling parts of the crane and was being treated in a local hospital, it added. The cause of the accident is under investigation, it said.
