Hijjah 16, 1431, Nov 22, 2010, SPA -- The Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah conveyed Monday the thanks and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince and the Second Deputy Premier, to all personnel of the Ministry of Health and participants in Hajj season this year for health care provided to pilgrims, which has reflected the bright image of the Kingdom of humanity (Saudi Arabia). Addressing an Eid greetings ceremony held here today for the Ministry's personnel, Dr. Al-Rabiah said that 230 cardiac catheterization procedures and 15 open-heart surgeries were conducted this Hajj season for the first time, noting that pilgrim-patients who suffered from heart attacks were quickly transferred by air medical evacuation and air and ground ambulances to King Abdullah Medical City or Noor Hospital in Makkah.
