Hijjah 03, 1431H, Nov 09, 2010, SPA -- Prince Turki Al-Faisal, the Chairman of Board of Directors of King Faisal Center for Islamic Researches and Studies met during his visit to U.S. Syracuse University last night with Dr. Eric Spina, Vice Chancellor of the University, deans of faculties and the Director of Middle East Studies Program at the University. During the meeting, the Prince was briefed on the role of Middle East Studies Program in providing opportunities for scientific researches and cooperation with institutions of higher education in Arab countries. Prince Turki Al-Faisal, then, met with students of Saudi Arabia and other member states of the GCC (The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of The Gulf) at Syracuse University. He attended a dinner party hosted in his honor by the Chancellor of the University Dr. Nancy Cantor. Delivering a lecture at the University, Prince Turki Al-Faisal, shed light on the efforts made by the leaders of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the fields of development, reforms and strengthening the culture of peace and dialogue, noting that the most prominent ones of these efforts have been the issuance of the basic system of governance, the formation of Majlis Al-Shura and Provinces' Councils; and the issuance of Allegiance-Pledge System; along with a large number of administrative and organizational systems and regulations issued to keep pace with the development and progress of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in various fields. --More
