Qa'dah 26, 1431/Nov 03, 2010, SPA -- Prince Abdulaziz Ibn Salman Ibn Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources for Petroleum Affairs has stressed that the decision of the Cabinet chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz to transform (interim) National Program for Energy Management and Conservation at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology into a (permanent) National Center for Energy Management and Conservation has come to meet urgent national needs for raising the efficiency, production and use of energy in all sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as the unification of efforts between governmental and non-governmental organizations in this area. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Prince pointed out that the decision was adopted after what had been submitted to the Cabinet by Crown Prince Sultan Ibn Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, who is also Chairman of Ministerial Committee for Administrative Organization, concerning the Ministerial Committee's studying of the proposal of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to transform the National Program for Energy Management and Conservation at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology into the National Center for Energy Management and Conservation.
