Qa'dah 24, 1431 / Nov. 01, 2010, SPA -- Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet session held at Al-Yamamah Palace here today. At the outset of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the contacts, consultations and talks he held with a number of brotherly and friendly countries on ways of enhancing bilateral relations, regional and international developments, and joint Arab action. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the two telephone calls he received from President Barack Obama of the United States of America and President Ali Abdullah Saleh of the Republic of Yemen, as well as on the reception the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques held for the Secretary General of the Arab League Amr Mousa. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja said the Cabinet highly appreciated the appeal of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the brotherly people of Iraq as well as the King's invitation to President Jalal Talabani and all Iraqi parties that participated in the elections along with the political actors, to hold a meeting in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia after Hajj season under the umbrella of the Arab League in order to seek a solution for all problems facing the formation of the Iraqi government. The Cabinet reiterated that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will spare no effort to support the Iraqi people to achieve peace and security. Dr. Khoja also said the Cabinet listened to a number of reports on regional and international developments. The Cabinet condemned the Israeli Bill to annex the occupied city of Al-Quds to the list of Israeli cities of particular priority, stressing that this step aims to Judaize the Holy City. The Cabinet called on the international community to compel Israel to cease all violations committed to Judaize the Holy City and change its Islamic and Arab identity. --More
