Qa'dah 18, 1431, Oct 26, 2010, SPA -- A district police chief and three officers were killed Tuesday by a roadside bomb in western Afghanistan, a provincial government spokesman said. The officers were en route to the Obeh district office in Herat province when the vehicle was blown up, said Naqeeb Arween, spokesman for Herat's governor. Three other police officers were also injured in the attack, said Arween. "An investigation was under way," he was quoted as saying by the German Press Agency "DPA."
