OIC Complements U.N. Chief on UN Day-2010

Qa'dah 18, 1431, Oct 26, 2010, SPA -- Monday (October 25), the United Nations and its Member States are observing the United Nations Day to mark the 65th anniversary of the creation of the United Nations.
On this occasion, the OIC, being the second largest inter- governmental organization after the United Nations, and animated by the shared belief in the values of the UN Charter, reiterates its firm commitment to the promotion of multilateralism under the UN system.
OIC has a long association with the United Nations and is a major partner of the United Nations in international peace, security and development, it said in a press statement issued here yesterday.
