Qaeda 1431 H. / 21 October 2010, SPA -- Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the International Conference on Assemblies and Congregations Medicine, organized by the Ministry of Health, is scheduled to be held in Jeddah on Saturday 23 October, officials said today. Ministry of Health Spokesman Dr. Khalid Marghalani, who is also Head of the Information Committee of the conference, said a round table debate will be held on the sidelines of the conference in which a number of experts and senior officials will take part. They include Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, President of the Saudi Red Crescent Commission; Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabee'a, Minister of Health; Dr. Fuad bin Abdulsalam Al-Farsi, Minister of Hajj; Dr. Abdulaziz Khoja, Minister of Culture and Information; Eng. Adel Faqih, Minister of Labor; Dr. Margret Chan, Director General of the World Health Organization; and ministers of health of each of Lebanon, Yemen and Oman. The conference is poised to discuss, among others, the possibility of setting up an international center for human crowds and congregations and their impact on public health.
