Qaeda 1431 H. / 14 October 2010, SPA -- The Saudi ambassador to Germany Osama bin Abdulmajeed Shobokshi considered the desert a rich source of solar energy, saying that the Arab countries enjoy rich sources of energy and that the Arab governments support alternative energy sources but there is no substitute for oil in the current time, he said. In a speech before the first German Arab energy forum, currently ongoing in Berlin, the ambassador said today that the Arab countries, particularly the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, would like to exchange constructive cooperation with Germany to develop science and research in the field of boosting economy and industry.
