Qaeda 1431 H/14 October 2010, SPA -- Saudi Ambassador to Germany Dr. Osama bin Abdulmajeed Shobokshi has described the desert as a source of solar energy. In a speech delivered before the First German-Arab Energy Forum here today, the Saudi ambassador said that "The Arab countries are rich in energy and the governments of Arab countries support the alternative energy but oil is indispensable for it is the vital source of industry and economy all over the world". He stressed the keenness of Arab countries, particularly the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on cooperating constructively with Germany in all fields, especially science and research as well as economy and industry, pointing out that the German-Arab Forums are vital for the relations between the two sides.
