Qa'dah 03, 1431, Oct 11, SPA -- Oil prices rose to near $83 a barrel Monday in Asia. Benchmark oil for November delivery was up 27 cents to $82.93 a barrel at late afternoon Singapore time in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The contract rose 99 cents to settle at $82.66 on Friday. In other Nymex trading in November contracts, heating oil rose 0.27 cent to $2.285 a gallon and gasoline gained 0.76 cent to $2.159 a gallon. Natural gas dropped 3.9 cents to $3.612 per 1,000 cubic feet. In London, Brent crude added 9 cents to $84.12 a barrel on the ICE Futures exchange.
