Qa'dah 02, 1431 / Oct. 10, 2010, SPA -- The 29th meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Oil Ministerial Committee was held here today. The Kingdom's delegation to the meeting was led by Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Eng. Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Naimi. The meeting was chaired by Kuwaiti Minister of Oil Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Amad Al-Sabah who delivered a speech at the commencement of the meeting, saying that the relatively shared features enjoyed by GCC countries encourage oil cooperation. Sheikh Ahmad also said that such features would also help in holding mega oil ventures and would also contribute in achieving the aspired economic integration among GCC countries. The meeting will discuss the mechanism of promoting the joint action among the GCC states in the oil field, the minister said.
