Prince Sultan bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, General President of Youth Welfare and Chairman of the Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA), has called on the President of the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) Joseph Blatter to exert more efforts to stand by the Palestinian sports and athletes and to give them their legitimate right to exercise their sport activities including football. This came in a letter sent by Prince Sultan bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz to Joseph Blatter after the UAFA Executive Committee reviewed yesterday a report submitted by UAFA Executive Committee Member and President of Palestinian Football Association Jebreel Al-Rajoub on the abusive practices of the Israeli occupation authorities against sports and athletes in Palestine. In his letter, Prince Sultan bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz expressed hope that Palestinian sports would enjoy full support by the international sport community, particularly FIFA and the International Olympic Committee, in light of the conditions experienced by the Palestinian athletes under the abusive practices by the Israeli occupation authorities.
