Sheikh, Egypt on Tuesday, Al-Watan, Al-Jazirah and Al-Yaum newspapers called on the United States to continue its pressure on Israel to ensure a partial success of the negotiations rather than their complete collapse as a result of Israeli intransigence. The papers pointed out that it is too early to rule on such negotiations, which are certainly difficult for the parties involved, whether for Palestinians, Israelis, U.S. mediator or hosting country, Egypt, but the start of the negotiations and their continuation confirm their success which should result in building bridges of trust between the negotiating parties. The papers noted that Israel considers peace as a "security operation" and not a partnership for coexistence with its neighbors. --More
