Prince Sultan Ibn Salman Ibn Abdulaziz, President of Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities has called on citizens and residents to visit landmark tourist and natural sites in the provinces of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during Eid Al-Fitr vacation to enjoy themselves through family tourist trips packages. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) after meeting with governors of provinces, heads of tourism development councils, and tourism officials for launching many festivals and tourism activities in a number of areas in the first and second days of Eid Al-Fitr, the Prince pointed out that family tourist trips have become necessary in the lives of Saudi families, referring to the increase in tourist trips in all the Kingdom's provinces during the summer of this year 1431H by about 3.8% in comparison with last year and this number amounted to 2.7 million tourist trips compared with 2.6 million. Prince Sultan Ibn Salman Ibn Abdulaziz said that the increase in numbers of tourist trips is due to fact that the Kingdom has environmental and natural potentials, distinguished museums and historic and heritage sites, developed infrastructures, modern commercial centers, and other enjoyable tourist activities.
