President Barack Obama Turns Focus To Mideast Peace

U.S. President Barack Obama turned his attention to the Middle East Wednesday hosting a two-day summit to broker an Israeli-Palestinian peace accord.
The president scheduled meetings with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and Jordan's King Abdullah II.
Direct negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians will be formally relaunched on Thursday at a State Department ceremony, the United Press International reported.
