In implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud to send two field hospitals to Pakistan to provide medical services and humanitarian assistance to people affected by floods in Pakistan, the first of the eight aircraft of the 2nd Air Field Hospital, carrying on-board, members of medical and nursing staff as well as equipment, left King Faisal Air Base in Tabuk for Islamabad today. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Director General of Medical Services of the Armed Forces, Major General Dr. Kattab Bin Eid Al-Otaibi pointed out that the Ministry of Defense and Aviation and Inspection-General represented by Saudi Royal Air Force and the Directorate General of Medical Services of the Armed Forces have provided the 2nd air field hospital with 100 beds in addition to medical equipment and devices and medical staff comprising 22 doctors with various specialties along with 93 medical non-commissioned officers and technicians.
