Saudi Red Crescent Authority(SRCA) has set plans to establish development projects in Darfur to be implemented before the end of 2010, said Mohammed Abdullah Al Shumrani, the Acting regional Director of SRCA in Darfur, Western of Sudan. He added that the plan included the establishment of six water projects signed recently with the competent institutions in addition to two project to be completed within two weeks that include six fully equipped wells. During this week, two health centers had been already opened in Zalingei, in addition to four other health centers in southern Darfur and eastern Darfur, Al Shumrani said. The first model health center in southern Darfur will be opened at the end of the blessed month of Ramadan, he added. In its persistence to fulfill its plans for 2010, SRCA has completed the initial study for the implementation of agricultural projects in Darfur for cultivation of a thousand acres in southern Darfur, which will be carried out after Ramadan.
