At least 17 people were killed and five were injured in two road accidents in Egypt Wednesday, police said. A truck crashed into a minibus and flipped onto it, killing 14 people and injuring three others on a highway between Cairo and Alexandria, dpa reported. Meanwhile, three members of the same family were killed in a crash between two vehicles in Qalyubiya, just north of Cairo. Around 8,000 people die and 32,000 are injured in road accidents in Egypt each year, according to official estimates.
