British soldier killed in Afghan firefight

Britain's Ministry of Defense said a soldier has been killed in a gun battle in Afghanistan's restive southern Helmand Province.
The ministry said the soldier, from the 1st Battalion The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment, died during a firefight with insurgents in the Nad-e-Ali district on Saturday.
The soldier's name has not been released but his family has been informed, AP reported.
