The Executive Directors of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) approved today at a meeting held under the chairmanship of Dr Ahmed Mohammed Ali, the IDB's President, a grant of $11 million as a contribution to the international relief efforts for Pakistan which was recently hit by floods. The Executive Directors also approved allocations worth $620.4 million for financing new development projects in Morocco, Sudan, Egypt, Burkina Faso, Djibouti, Gambia, Mauritania, Uzbekistan, Iran, Guinea and Cameroon. Meanwhile, the Executive Directors also approved extending assistance to Muslim communities in Argentine, Brazil, Ethiopia, Georgia, Paraguay and Ukraine.
