The Kingdom's General Mufti and President of General Presidency of Scholarly Research and Ifta Sheikh Abdul-Aziz ibn Abdullah al Alsheikh has underscored the importance of the Holy Quran and said the Muslims are in need of learning the Holy Quran and understanding its meanings.Speaking here yesterday at the ceremony organized by the charitable society for the Holy Quran memorization in Taif, al Alsheikh lauded the great attention given by the charitable society to the Holy Quran memoriztin in Taif. On his part, President of the Supreme Council of Magistracy Dr Salih ibn Humaid highlighted the efforts of the society of the Holy Quran memorization and its role as regards encouraging the youth to get acquainted with the Holy Quran. He noted that intensive courses on the Holy Quran will yield positive results. Chairman of the charitable society for the Holy Quran memorization in Taif Dr Ahmad al-Sahali underlined the importance of learning the Holy Quran and implementation of its rules. He hailed the great attention given by the Saudi government to the Holy Quran. It is worth mentioning that more than 500 persons from more than 40 countries participated in the ninth summer course organized by the society.
