The temperature in Moscow and the Moscow Region is expected to rise up to 40 degrees this Saturday with brief rains, but it will be difficult to breathe as before because of the smog from forest and peat fires. The weather will remain extremely hot. The temperature will go up to 37-39 degrees Centigrade in Moscow and 35-40 in the region, a source at the Rosgidromet meteorological service told Itar-Tass. Sometimes it will be cloudy with rain showers and thunderstorms in some areas. The wind of 3-8 metres a second will blow from the southeast with gusts of 15-20 metres a second in thunderstorms. Limits were imposed for industrial discharges into the air from Friday till August 9 in connection with the smog. The discharges must be decreased by up to 40 percent. Doctors recommend residents under such weather conditions to remain indoors, take a shower more often and refrain from smoking.
