The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at his palace here this evening President Mahmoud Abbas, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization and President of the Palestinian National Authority. At the outset of the reception, President Mahmoud Abbas praised the efforts exerted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to purify the atmosphere and the unification of Arab ranks, noting in this regard the last visit paid by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to a number of Arab nations and its positive results contributing to the strengthening of Arab unity against all the challenges facing the nation, topped the question of Palestine which comes in the vanguard of the concerns of the King. During the audience, the Palestinian issue and the suffering of the Palestinian people as well as the international efforts to restart the peace process back on track to reach just and comprehensive solution to ensure the right of Palestinians to establish their independent state on their national soil with Al-Quds as its capital in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy and the initiative Arab peace were discussed. The meeting was attended by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Nizar bin Obaid Madani from the Saudi side. It was also attended by members of the delegation accompanying the Palestinian president, from the Palestinian side.
