Azerbaijan has sent on Wednesday to Russia two helicopters for putting out woodland fires, the head of the air unit of Azerbaijan's Ministry for Emergency Situations, Col. Ashraf Gasymov, reported, according to Itar-Tass. According to him, the helicopters with the crews of 19 people took off from Baku's Geidar Aliyev International Airport early on Wednesday. They were bought by Azerbaijan's emergencies ministry from Russia two years ago. One of them is Mi-17-1B and the other one is Ka-32A, Gasymov said. It is reported that the helicopters would take part in putting out wildfires near Voronezh and Lipetsk. So far, it is planned to use them for two weeks, but if necessary, this term can be extended, Gasymov added.
