An earthquake on Friday rattled the north-eastern Iranian province of Khorassan Razavi, injuring at least 100 people and damaging several residential buildings in rural areas. State media reported that the quake with a magnitude of 5.7 on the Richter scale affected several villages between the cities of Baygh and Torbat-Heydarieh, dpa quoted local official as saying. Local officials said rescue teams have already been dispatched to area to help the villagers, adding they could not rule out further casualties.
