The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and President Dr. Bashar Al-Assad of the Syrian Arab Republic co-chaired a session of official talks at the People's Palace here this afternoon. At the outset of the meeting, President Dr. Bashar Al-Assad welcomed the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, wishing him a pleasant stay in Syria. For his part, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques expressed appreciation of and thanks to the Syrian President on the warm reception and generous hospitality accorded to him and the accompanied delegation. Then, they discussed the overall issues and latest developments at the Arab arena, foremost the Palestinian issue, the suffering of the Palestinian people as well as the stalled peace process, the need to unify Palestinian ranks and achieve just and comprehensive peace that guarantees the return of occupied Arab territories to their owners in addition to enabling the Palestinian people of their right to establish their independent state on their national soil with Al-Quds as its capital in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy and the Arab peace initiative. --More
