The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt today signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of remote sensing and space sciences. Nabeel bin Ameen Mulla, Governor of Saudi Standards and Qualify Authority, signed for Saudi Arabia and Dr. Ayman Al-Dusooqi, President of the Egyptian National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences, signed for his country. The MOU aims at promoting research of mutual concern in the fields of remote sensing and space sciences in addition to exchange of experience and information between the Kingdom and Egypt in this field. A number of programs and training courses in the field of remote sensing and geographic information systems and satellites and the organization of symposia, scientific conferences and seminars were approved.
