Egyptian summit, Abha-based al-Watan said the visit of King Abdullah to Egypt today will reiterate the existing deep-rooted relations between the Kingdom and Egypt, adding that King Abdullah will exchange views with Mubarak on issues of vital importance notably the Palestinian problem. In addition to the Palestinian issue, the two leaders will also review the Lebanese issue, said the daily. Despite obstacles put before the peace efforts, the Kingdom has never given up its rational diplomacy in tackling problems, and King Abdullah is always owner of pioneering initiatives whether pertaining to dialogue among followers of civilizations and religions or to Arab reconciliation. It is hoped that the Saudi-Egyptian summit will yield positive results and meet the aspirations of the Arab nation, the daily added. On the same topic, Dammam-based al-Yaum said the Kingdom as an important country has been shouldering its responsibility as regards supporting the Arab causes. King Abdullah's visit to Egypt aims at cementing Arab solidarity and enabling the Arab nation confront challenges, said the daily. The paper believes that the Kingdom and Egypt are not only pillars of balance in the Arab world, but they are also pillars of balance in the entire middle east region due to their deep-rooted diplomatic traditions and their influential role. A great importance is attached to the Saudi-Egyptian summit, the daily added.
