Chief of the local criminal investigation department Maj. Aliaskhab Magomedov was killed in the Dagestani city of Kaspiisk. "The police officer was shot down from an automatic rifle in the yard of his house in the Avangard countryside settlement," the press service of the Dagestani Interior Ministry told Itar-Tass. The murder was committed at about 00.30 am Moscow time on Monday, the source said. The search operation for the killers is underway.
