The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG) office said an earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted Poso, Central Sulawesi, at 6.51 am on Sunday. It said that the epicenter of the earthquake was located at 23 km northwest of Poso, 1.33 degrees southern latitude -120.55 degrees eastern longitude at a depth of 25 km under the sea level. It has no potential to create a tsunami. The epicenter is located some 1,616 km northeast Jakarta. There is no immediate report on damage or casualties, according to ANTARA.
