Secretary of the "Saudi Arabia Marvelous Antiquities Exhibition", currently on display in Paris, expressed pleasure that the Louvre is the first international museum to host the event. In a press statement, she said that the Arab peninsula has played a basic role in the history of the world over history, noting that it was a main station for the world trade routes in ancient eras. She described the exhibition as so important that it is the first largest of Saudi antiquities. She added that the masterpieces on display were carefully selected. Salvini recalled her several visits to Saudi Arabia where she saw the historical trade routes joining Al-Hijaz, Dedan, Taima, Mada'en Saleh and Al-Faw. She noted that the exhibition contains the most oldest Arabic manuscript.
