based Al-Yaum said "Discussions are still under way on the prospective formation of the new government in Iraq." "It is high time for the Iraqis to accelerate the formation of their government so as to salvage the country taking into account the importance of the national reconciliation which has been subjected to the maneuvers of the political parties, governments appointed by the occupation power and agents of foreign countries who have been working to involve the county in the woes of sectarian strife. Actually Iraq is in need of a behavior which is different from the behavior of the sectarian governments that have linked themselves and their citizens with the influence of foreign powers," said the paper. "However, there is no way for Iraq but formation of a national government which could rescue the country from the yoke of sectarianism and the culture of retaliation as well as the influence of the foreign powers which occupy Iraq militarily, ideologically, politically and engaged in promoting sectarianism." The major responsibility of the new government in Iraq will be taking Iraq back to the fold of Arabism in addition to exerting genuine efforts for realizing national reconciliation, the paper noted.
