As regards Palestine, the paper expressed sorrow and grief for the continuation of differences between Fatah and Hamas and said the innocent Palestinian people have been paying the price of this disunity. The paper pointed out that the Egyptian leadership and other Arab sincere leaderships have been doing their best to enable the Palestinians establish their independent state with al-Quds as its capital. "It is hoped that Hamas will revise its position as regards signing reconciliation agreement with Fatah so as to pave the way for the formation of a national unity government which is capable of confronting the Israeli expansionist policies." The paper said Hamas has been wasting the time at a time when Israel is building more settlements and expelling the citizens of Al-Quds. "It is high time for the concerned parties in Iraq and Palestine to unite their ranks and to work for the salvation of their countries," the daily added.
