The Saudi-South Korean Joint Committee concluded here today its 15th periodical meeting which was held in the framework of friendship relations and common interests between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Korea. The meeting was co-chaired by the Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Qusaybi and South Korean Minister of Trade Kim Jong-Hoon. In a joint press statement issued at the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides stressed that the meeting was held pursuant to Article VI of the Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the Republic of Korea. The Saudi side expressed appreciation of the decision taken by the Korean government, selecting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a development partner in 2010. The two sides reviewed the technical and economic relations as well as cooperation results between the two countries. They also stressed the importance of joint cooperation in the oil sector as well as the importance of providing more support to the role played by the secretariat of the International Energy Forum in Riyadh.
