based Al-Nadwa said the Cabinet at its meeting on Monday approved signing an agreement for the establishment of a program under the title of 'International Program of Abdullah Ibn Abdul-Aziz for Culture of Dialogue and Peace. "This approval is viewed as an important development and comes in line with the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques which is based on dialogue of civilizations. Moreover, it will positively contribute to enhancing the pillars of global peace which is based on dialogue and understanding as well as discarding violence and extremism. Actually this program was preceded by brave steps taken by King Abdullah through encouraging internal dialogue," said the paper. "Additionally, the Madrid conference was an important step as regards shifting the initiative of King Abdullah at the international arena. Moreover, this initiative has been adopted by the United Nations, which pledged to activate it in view of its conformity with the UN's principles that advocate global peace and security." The establishment of the international program of Abdullah Ibn Abdul-Aziz for the culture of dialogue and peace comes in line with the blessed march of dialogue, said the paper, adding that the ambitions of King Abdullah for realizing global peace are unlimited and the march of dialogue will continue until realization of the desired goals. --MORE
