The Board of Directors of Saudi Students Clubs in American universities has held its 30th meeting at George Mason University in Virginia under the chairmanship of Saudi Ambassador to the United States of America Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, who is also the Board's Chairman. The meeting was attended by Saudi Cultural Attaché in the United States and Deputy Chairman of the Board Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Issa , the Director of Cultural and Social Affairs and Secretary of the Board Dr. Moody bint Abdullah Al-Khalaf, and 57 presidents and representatives of the clubs. Addressing the meeting, the Saudi Ambassador emphasized the interest of Saudi officials in the activities of clubs in the fields of information, culture, sports and social contacts among Saudi students as one family conveying to the U.S. society moralities and traditions of the Saudi society. He commended programs presented by the clubs about Saudi Arabia's progress, civilization, and denunciation of extremism. On his part, the Cultural Attaché Dr. Al-Issa praised the role played by clubs in contacting with students communities in U.S. universities and the civil society, in addition to their social roles among Saudi students. At the end of the meeting, the Board agreed to hold the next meeting at the University of Tampa, Florida.
